The Nether Largie Standing Stones are located in Kilmartin Glen in Scotland and are thought by some to have been part of a lunar observatory. The site consists of a tall central stone - covered with cup and ring markings - with two pairs of outlying stones to the South and West.

Kilmartin Glen is the area surrounding the village of Kilmartin which is south of Oban. The Glen is famous for its rich historic archaeological legacy as there are at least 350 ancient monuments within six miles of the village, with 150 of them being prehistoric. They include burial cairns, rock carvings and standing stones, as well as the remains of the fortress of the Scots at Dunadd.
