View from Waternish Peninsula

Waternish is a narrow peninsula reaching out from the northern end of the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It offers wide clear and impressive panoramic views of Loch Bay, Dunvegan Head and beyond to the Outer Isles. At the tip of the peninsula you will find Trumpan Church which was burned down by the MacDonalds while the MacLeods were worshipping there in 1578. The views from Trumpan Church across to the Western Isles are quite specatular.
